Wedding Dress Associate 'Accidentally Fat Shames' A New Bride In The Shop

Women supporting women is sadly hard to come by sometimes. Mean girls are always out there lurking. But this story is tough because the OP seemed to have kind intentions. OP is a wedding dress sales associate. She was assigned a bride that said she normally wears a size 30. OP kindly explain to her that they don't carry many size 30 dresses in the store. They have 150 dresses and only 3 are a size 30. (That, we think is society's fault, but we digress). OP starts pulling the size 30s they have to show her, and the customer hates all of them. She then gets snippy and says, "how about I just pull dresses myself since you can't seem to do it." The customer then pulls out a size 14 dress and OP tells her in what she claims as a sympathetic tone "well as this is a size 14, I'd recommend we don't try this on, we won't wanna try and be squeezing you into it." This is when the customer lost her sh*t. She stormed right up to OP's manager. Keep reading to see what happens next.     Before we all get too defensive, let's hear OP out. Being a fitting room attendant can be a really hard job. You have to be careful not to offend people about their body in any way. Sometimes what offends people is out of your control.

    Font - differently? I specifically tried to not say directly “you're to big for this dress"? This really pissed me off,I can admit my faults/mistakes, I just honestly don't see what I did wrong here?     Font - like the wording I chose to explain to her something glaringly obvious (her being 8 sizes larger than the dress she was asking to try on). AITA For even telling her I wouldn't recommend trying it on in the first place? Thank you to anyone reading my post and appreciate any feedback :)

I've worked in retail and the amount of people who try to squeeze themselves into two sizes to0 small and damage items they don't end up having to pay for is crazy.
